"Pieces" by STLNDRMS
This one is another first for me, Pieces is a Composition and Drum Loop pack. No stems no bpm's, no key labels, no quantize.... none of that. This pack is music for you to make music with...
This time you get compositions (16 of them) some full records some just sounds… and some fire drum loops (18 of them) by loops I mean 30 second to 2 minute drum compositions...
The Idea is to give you what you would find if you went to the record store and dug… Chop and cook fr, no cookie cutter...
I’ve been working on this one for a while, between moving my studio and general life its been a few months since the last pack. These sounds are real and alive some of them have clicks and pops some buzz some distort some of them are dirty but they are all beautiful...
Still creating these sounds using the looper workflow in Live then running the session out of Ableton via busses, into my the analog console (A&H WZ 20:8:2).
Once I’m in the console, all of the mixing is done analog. I picked up quite some new gear since the last pack, An EchoPlex tape echo, A Proper 70’s spring reverb, Another analog spring reverb, A memory man pedal, a couple tape machines, Tube amplifiers some analog compressors and some really fire vintage UTC Transformers… The mixes on this project are special to me. I hope it comes thru in the sound….
Let’s talk about sounds… Prophet 6, Moog Grand mother, Vintage Fender Jazz bass, Rhodes, Crumar Mojo, all the best stuff I have in the box and some proper dirty drums, I hope you have as much fun creating with this thing as I did creating it….
